The Firebird was originally from California. but this Firebird packs a punch! It will definitely smoke the tires with ease! It has been built to 350 HO specifications. The reproduction window sticker shows delivery to Al Ives Pontiac along with three factory options. ![]() Power is routed to the rear wheels through a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. The 455ci High Output V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, less than 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. The Formula steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and axillary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. Amenities include front bucket seats, an optional center console, a passenger-side grab bar, a Hurst shifter, power windows, an AM radio, and a heater. The seating surfaces are trimmed in ivory vinyl that extends to the door panels, and engine-turned metal trim accents the dash. ![]() The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes. The 15″ honeycomb-style wheels are mounted with F60-15 Firestone Wide Oval tires. A scuff is noted on the left side of the front bumper. Additional styling includes front fender vents, bright trim, a rear decklid spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. A blue stripe runs the length of the car and terminates in a Firebird nose decal ahead of the shaker hood and above the front air dam and spoiler. This Firebird Trans Am is now offered on dealer consignment with Pontiac Historic Services documents, a reproduction window sticker, and a clean Nevada title.ĭelivered from the factory in Cameo White (C), the car was repainted as part of the 2014 refurbishment after sheet metal repairs to the quarter panels. It is equipped with 15″ honeycomb-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, power windows, front bucket seats, a front console, an AM radio, and a heater. ![]() Finished in Cameo White over ivory vinyl, the car was refurbished in 2014 prior to the current owner’s purchase in 2019. This 1972 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is one of 1,286 examples produced for the model year and was delivered new to Al Ives Pontiac in Tonawanda, New York, powered by a 455ci HO V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential.
